Maanasa first began her hosting journey in back in 2012 for a number of formal dance performances. She was subsequently exposed to informal emceeing after joining SMU and learnt the relevant skills to be a versatile host. Beyond hosting, Maanasa is currently a Year 3 student in SMU School of Accountancy and is an active Indian classical dancer (Bharatanatyam) who does solos and ensembles performances locally and overseas.

Ciesta is a combined closing ceremony organised by the following local community service projects – Inspirar (elderly), Kidleidoscope (children) and Starring (special needs). It was in the form of a carnival with beneficiaries from all the 3 CSPs present. Conducted stage games to entertain children around 6 to 10 years old, mass dance session involving the elderly and children, general introduction of events and crowd engagement to hype the participants and facilitated the lucky draw session for Kidleidoscope.

The inaugural ‘Being Brave’ panel explored what it feels like to be a young female student in a university and the challenges they face, in areas such as change, leadership and women empowerment. The session was moderated by Ms Margie Warrell.
